Following a lengthy wait, childhood cartoon staple, Nickelodeon, has revealed the first details of its forthcoming NFT collection. Along the way, teasing some of its much-loved intellectual properties to the blockchain adoring world.
A lot has occurred since Viacom CBS first announced an interest in the non-fungible last October. For one, they have completely rebranded their service under the new moniker of ‘Paramount Global’. Now, with that administrative headache out of the way, they will begin rolling out their first set of Nickelodeon collectibles.
Little is known of their NFT plans as of yet, other than it will aim to play on the heartstrings of nostalgia for its first outing by drawing upon its 90s spanning ‘golden era’ for much of its inspiration. Judging by the released promotional material, fan favourites, The Rugrats and Hey Arnold! will make an appearance. However, undisputed god of the network, Spongebob has so far remained unmentioned.
