Microsoft brings its apps to Metaverse with Meta collaboration

Meta announced that Microsoft ( MSFT ) has partnered with Microsoft to integrate Office 365 applications into its virtual reality platform.

With this partnership, Microsoft Office applications will be available in Meta’s virtual reality environment. This feature will be available through Meta’s virtual reality glasses called Quest Pro, which has a number of new features, Windows cloud computer and mobile phones.

Meta ( META ) aims to convince more people to work virtually with its developed product Quest Pro. With the developed virtual reality headset, the user can match gestures such as smiles and winks to his virtual avatar, while it is said to have hand control feedback and real-time emotion tracking features.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, in a statement on the subject, stated that the pandemic period naturally improves remote working experiences, and that they continue to work on developing this working model.

In this context, Microsoft CEO stated that they have decided to integrate the meeting experience of Microsoft Teams into Meta Quest in order to make users’ interactions with each other more efficient.

In addition, Microsoft Teams will work with Horizon Workrooms, Meta’s VR meeting space. Meta CEO Zuckerberg believes this cross-device experience lays the foundation for the virtual work environment of the future.
